Founded by the adventurous second wave of settlers that landed on Raana's surface in 2230, over two and a half centuries ago, the Ikaanian metro area of today boasts almost 600,000 inhabitants and has a history that's rich in both tragedies and achievements.
Background
Sometimes the apple does fall far from the tree and this may be the case for Piper. Few would predict that Piper would grow up to be a servant, after-all Piper grew up in a loving and safe household in the upscale Whitehaven district. Her father, Laggard Holdman, was a notable technologist who used his intelligence and technical knowledge to specialize in retrofitting and reverse-engineering quantum computers. Even though Laggard was enthused about his work, he kept Piper by his side, providing the her with all the safety she could desire in a place like Ikaanos. Yet, Piper never developed an interest in the scientific world.

Having been sheltered from much hardship, and the sinister side of others, as a teen she ventured out into the world hoping to explore its possibilities. The naive and gullible girl only survived six months of freedom. She soon found herself in servitude to Mr. Fallon, a researcher within the Explorers guild. Mr. Fallon was considerate, providing Piper and his other slaves with a safe environment where Piper’s natural kindness and submissiveness served her well.

Piper served almost a decade in Mr. Fallon’s household and showed she enjoyed many of the pleasures of servitude, until one day, Mr. Fallon went on a research expedition where he died. Piper was left without a master, sent to the Crystal Haven slave auction and sold to the Cyker Syndicate for a large sum.

For several months she struggled adjusting to life as a slave in the Cyker Syndicate. However, her beauty and refinement made her an intriguing prospect to serve Miss Devious who acquired Piper.

Piper desires to fulfill some of her earlier dreams to discover more about the world.

Did-I: Added wiki page links

Walking into the vast realm of Masters of Raana might be a bit confusing. Unlike other games you may have played, Masters of Raana is as open-world as GrimDark (the independent solo developer of the game) can make it. There are no forced paths, no artificial choices that have no actual influence on gameplay, no "rails", so to speak.

You're free to do anything you want, and there are very few guiding hands except the scribbles in your worn paper journal as your guide.

This can be disconcerting to the average player, so this section of the wiki seeks to provide you with a few tips to gently nudge you along. Some tips and tricks, so to speak.

Selecting a Playstyle
So, which class did you pick in character creation? What's that, you say? You weren't able to pick a class when starting out??!?! That's right, because there are no classes in Masters of Raana!

Keep in mind that you are not restricted to a specific class or style of play. You may play in whatever way you choose and alter your style at any moment. You may even blend playstyles with no penalty other than the amount of time spent on improving any skill or attribute. This means you may work as a professor during the day and roam the streets at night, battling criminals and other gangs as you like. Alternatively, you may take on bounties during the day and teach your slaves at night. You can do whatever you want, whenever you want, and however you want.

There are, in fact, five broad groups of playstyles. They are as follows:
* Criminal (Example: investing in criminal enterprises, gambling, theft)
* Combat (Example: bounties, combat quests, defeating general combatants on the map)
* Academic (Example: Getting a job at the Academy teaching as a Professor)
* Survival (Not much in this category except for fishing. Still a work in progress)
* Slave Management (Example: training slaves in different areas, placing them at jobs across the city, or selling them)

You can also just get a job at the factory and work as a regular citizen of Ikaanos, if you wish. And every evening after your shift, head to a tavern and enjoy some drink and entertainment and socialization. Or spend some time with a lovely girl for the night.

Player / Slave / Merc Death
There is currently no mechanism for the player character to die in the game. This is done by design. According to GrimDark, permanent death forces players to rely on save-scumming and is not an enjoyable gaming experience. As a result, if you are defeated in a fight, your stats will suffer a minor penalty. Stats that are lost in this way can be quickly restored by increasing them during training or through other means.

Slaves are likewise subject to this rule. Slaves who are defeated in combat do not die, but instead get a stat point penalty. These losses, like the player character's, can be regained by training and other means.

This rule, however, has an exception for slaves. Slaves can die if their health is ignored and they reach -30 health. This can happen in a variety of ways. If a critically injured slave is not healed over time, she will die. Leaving a slave bound for a few days will almost certainly result in her death.

So, take care of your girls!

Finally, defeated mercenaries will perish at the end of the combat encounter. You will not be able to heal them if they lose all of their health during a fight and fall. As of the 7.7 update, all mercs except for a few are unique and therefore will be permanently removed from the game if they are killed in battle. So, make sure to protect / heal your favorite mercs! Mercs that will respawn after death are the following:

* Peasant rifleman in Redhaven district by the Market.
* Swordsman at the Warrior Hall in Watery Eyes district.
* Rifleman at the Warrior Hall in Watery Eyes district.

The Importance of Starting Traits
Most players would agree that choosing the Wealthy trait is a fantastic choice if you want to start out comfortably without having to search for a job straight away. It also provides you with enough money to buy your first slave from Kymanto.

Do you want to be a more ranged combat-oriented player? The Pistoleer trait grants you a massive +25 skillpoint bonus in ranged combat (although only for pistols and revolvers). Alternatively, the Sharpshooter trait will grant you a +15 skillpoint boost with any ranged weapon, and you will start with a rifle. Rifles aren't cheap, especially for a newcomer.

The Healing Implant trait is helpful for avoiding the expense of constantly utilizing Tendstims after battle, especially if you're just starting out. However, bear in mind that during the mid-to late game, the cost of restocking your Tendstims will be negligible. That being said, if you don't spend a lot of time fighting and want to focus on non-combat pursuits, this is an excellent pick.

Following the Main Quest
The Kymanto Syndicate quest line is currently regarded as the game's primary quest. As you go through it, you will gain influence and prestige within the Syndicate, as well as money. More significantly, it will grant you access to several tiers of unique slaves for purchase. Each slave has a distinct background and can even provide you with specific benefits if their affection for you is strong enough.

Please keep in mind, however, that you DO NOT HAVE TO COMPLETE THE FIRST QUEST IN THE SERIES RIGHT AWAY. It might be difficult for a newcomer to the game. While the initial part of the quest cannot be failed, it has two different endings. Many new players may feel compelled to start this quest chain straight away because it is the first one assigned to them. This is not accurate. This game is as open-world as they come. There are no short-term timers on any of the quests in the game.

So don't feel pressured to start it right away!

Getting your First Slave
Following in your brother's footsteps will ultimately bring you to the Kymanto Syndicate. This organization offers six available slaves that you may buy, train, and interact with. You may acquire Lovisa, Amelia, and Rebecca straight away, but access to Tier 2 slaves requires you to complete the first two Kymanto tasks.

Juno, who is found at a POI (Point of Interest) in the Stokke Hills area, is the easiest slave to get right away. There is also an Old House with a young girl right outside when you arrive. You can immediately add her to your home if you speak with her.

Examine her stats when you have the opportunity to learn how to communicate with, train, and handle her.

Greetings, and welcome to Masters of Raana! This page will serve to ease new players through the process of creating their new game character!

To start, please keep in mind that this game is currently in early development and will have errors, glitches, systems that are still being fleshed out, incomplete features, and is, in general, a work in progress. Masters of Raana is being created by a lone indie developer named GrimDark, who is responsible for all of the game's creative writing, coding, and rendering. The lore behind the Masters of Raana is extensive and originates entirely from GrimDark's imagination. In my opinion, this is quite an accomplishment.

As such, I invite you to join the <span class="newtab"></span> and report any bugs or problems you encounter while playing, exchange information about any
difficulties you encounter, and contribute your ideas to the game's growth.
Both of these sites will have the latest news, development logs, and release notes, as well as provide you with access to the latest test version of the game if you subscribe as an alpha tester.
Character Creation
Masters of Raana features a unique character creation process that is unlike any other game. Rather than assigning an arbitrary number of stat/skill points to various attributes/skills, you are presented with a story-like process in which you construct your character based on his or her background, experiences, and personality. This method allows you to make your character unique to you while avoiding the impersonal practice of deciding where to divide your points on a spreadsheet.

Please keep in mind that regardless of where your attributes and skills wind up, you may always modify them to your satisfaction through training, studying, and just playing the game the way you want to.

Important Note: Throughout the character creation process, you can reset and/or reselect your choices. Additionally, at the conclusion of the character creation process, you have the option of starting over (Final Review). This enables the player to experiment with a range of diverse configurations and scenarios. We encourage you to take full advantage of this flexibility and experiment to your heart's content with your character build!

Selecting your Personal History
Selecting your character's personal history is a two-stage process. Your choices in each stage will result in different attributes and/or skills receiving boosts and/or penalties. These changes are cumulative.

EXAMPLE: If you receive a bonus of +5 intelligence and a penalty of -1 dexterity in the first stage and a bonus of +5 intelligence and a penalty of -1 strength in the second stage, you will receive a cumulative result of +10 intellect, -1 dexterity, and -1 strength in the end.

The first stage entails choosing an upbringing. At this point in the process, you get to choose your path and your upbringing. Each background confers benefits or drawbacks to you in terms of various attributes and skills. Take your time and go over them all. You may always redo them before making a final decision.

The second stage gives you the opportunity to determine how you responded to your upbringing. Did you go down the same path as your parents? Or did you reject them and go out on your own? Again, each option has a number of pros and cons in terms of various attributes and skills. Again, think about all of your options before you make a decision and move on to the next section.

Selecting your Unique Event
This area allows you to pick a unique event that took place in your life. This event will provide you with certain benefits, but also with a substantial penalty. Additionally, it will affect various quests, events, and how NPCs view you throughout the game.

Additionally, certain unique events will include a special quest that is not generally available through regular routes. Bear in mind that certain unique quests are currently in development and may not be accessible at this time.

Consider all of your possibilities before making a choice. You can return and select another unique event if you are dissatisfied with the one you first selected.

Selecting Special Abilities
This section allows you to select three distinctive special abilities that provide bonuses or penalties related to specific attributes and skills. If you're wondering how they will affect your character, a large question mark symbol is located on the left side of the screen. By clicking on that icon, a pop-up window will appear with a synopsis of the game's system, all of the game's attributes and skills, and their influence on gameplay. Please take the time to study this information thoroughly, as it is essential to know how the special talents will affect your character and the overall gameplay.

If you make a mistake or have a change of heart, simply click the reset button at the bottom of your screen. This will clear your selections and allow you to choose another set.

Once you have made your selection, an arrow will appear on the right side of the screen. To proceed to the next part, click on this arrow.

Selecting Body Type/Physical Features
This part will allow you to choose from three distinct choices. Penis Size, Body Type, and Cum Load Each of these options will have an influence on your gameplay, so we encourage you to click on the corresponding large question mark to the left of each section. Each choice will be explained. I'll describe each summary on this page. However, bear in mind that this wiki is not constantly updated, and therefore the most current information will be displayed in-game.

Body Type
Your character's body type will primarily affect his strength and dexterity, enhancing a certain combat style if you choose to limit yourself to either melee or ranged weapons.

Body type also affects persuasion in subtle ways; some slaves are more attracted toward particular body types, and a "stocky" build gives you a slight advantage in intimidation and domination attempts.

Penis Size
The size of your male character's genitalia is more critical than you may believe. While having a bigger penis can create discomfort for virgins and petite partners, its massive size will also sap a slave's willpower and lead her to submit more quickly.

While playing the game, your choice will also add another level of flavor to many sexually explicit messages.

Cum Load
On Raana, a select few males have developed an abnormal quantity of sperm. Ikaanos' declining medical profession suggests that this might be due to passive radiation from the planet's core. However, despite the enlarged prostate, they have identified no evidence of malignancy other than the discomfort the male's sexual partner may experience.

Choosing anything other than "Normal" will have a detrimental effect on all aspects of oral relations, particularly ejaculation. However, if your partner or slave enjoys oral sex, a massive ejaculation may make the girl more submissive and satisfied. Additionally, if she consumes your load, it will reduce her appetite by a small amount.

Selecting Sexual Focuses
This section allows you to select two distinctive sexual focuses that provide bonuses or penalties related to specific attributes and skills. If you're wondering how they will affect your character, a large question mark symbol is located on the left side of the screen. By clicking on that icon, a pop-up window will appear with a synopsis of the game's system, all of the game's attributes and skills, and their influence on gameplay. Please take the time to study this information thoroughly, as it is essential to knowing how the sexual focus will affect your character and overall gameplay.

If you make a mistake or have a change of heart, simply click the reset button at the bottom of your screen. This will clear your selections and allow you to choose another set.

Once you have made your selection, an arrow will appear on the right side of the screen. To proceed to the next part, click on this arrow.

Selecting Age Range
This section allows you to select from three distinct age groups. Each age group has related benefits and drawbacks, as well as one possible side effect of seduction and persuasion interaction.

To continue, select one and then click the arrow on the right side of the screen.

Selecting dice rolls
Each time your character makes a choice during an interaction, there is a chance for different outcomes. You can select one of three dice rolls settings which impacts your ability to determine how predictable the reactions to your choices will be:

* Classic: The outcomes are unpredictable, anything can happen both good and bad.
* Normal: This is the default setting, most choices are predictable with a mix of surprises thrown in.
* Realistic: The outcomes are most predictable here, you can anticipate the outcomes better with less surprises.

Selecting Difficulty
See Difficulty settings for more information.

Selecting your Name
Nothing complicated here. Enter the first and last names you wish to be addressed by. Be aware that, depending on the social context, NPCs will address you by your first or last name. You can also change the way each individual slave addresses you separately in the game in their interaction section.

Final Review
Finally, an evaluation of your character sheet will be offered to you. Please take a close look at the final outcomes of your selections. If you made a mistake, changed your mind, or simply wish to experiment with alternative options, click the "Start Over" button at the bottom of the screen.

If everything appears to be in order, click the "Accept" button to enter the realm of Raana!

Tutorial
After approving the final assessment of your character sheet, you will be provided with a brief overview of your present status and some suggested goals. At the bottom of the screen, you'll be able to start the tutorial or start playing right away.

If this is your first time playing the game or if you haven't played in a while, it is strongly advised that you begin with the tutorial. The tutorial begins by highlighting essential features and UI aspects that you'll need to know in order to start playing the game without encountering any trouble. Even if you've played the game previously but not recently, you may be unaware of significant modifications made to the game. You still need to complete the tutorial.

If you are a long-time existing player or a member of the Discord/SubscribeStar.Adult page and have been keeping up with the latest updates, feel free to select "Start" and begin playing.

Pre-human history
* The Beryll pottery culture (5000-4750 BHE)

First humans
The United Earth Space Agency (UESA), which oversaw all of Earth's space explorations, discovered Raana in 2116 via the Mahabharata probe sent through the newly constructed Celassi stargate.

Four years later, in 2120, Earth sent the first scientific expedition to the thriving forest planet. The 2120 expedition found striking similarities to Earth; not only was Raana highly suitable for maintaining life, the planet also shared a similar age and oxygen levels. What was really convenient, however, was the planet's rotation speed being similar to Earth's. Later colonists were able to synchronize their time with Earth's, with minimal adjustments to the clocks on Raana, even if a Raanic hour was slightly shorter. During the expedition, scientists also discovered and catalogued many forms of life including an indigenous species formally called Inexor Valacae, or Beryll Monkeys.

However, what truly brought humanity to colonize Raana was the large deposits of Rare Earth elements on the planet, which spurred UESA to launch the first wave of settlers in 2130. Rare earth elements are 17 similar metals that have different electronic and magnetic properties which are invaluable to human civilization due to their uses in the creation of petroleum products, computer chips, LCD screens, fiber optics, lasers and more.
The first wave and the tribalist kingdoms (2130-2230)
Over 350 years ago, the first wave of inhabitants arrived on Raana via the Celassi Stargate. It was a handpicked group of 366 young people, entrusted with establishing an outpost capable of accommodating bigger groups over the next decade. Regrettably, the first wave crashed their ship close to the Beryll mountain range, not far from where Ikaanos City now resides.

Unbeknownst to UESA back on Earth, the majority of colonists survived the crash. However, communication with Earth was now impossible owing to the destroyed ship's primary, secondary, and backup deep space transmitters being irreparably damaged.

After a century, only a few earthly traditions remained. The First Wavers had established a tribal society more akin to a medieval world with swords and wooden carts than to their founding fathers' high-tech civilization.

When the Second Wavers finally arrived from the skies in 2230, nearly a century after the first wave crashed on Raana, the First Waver descendants refused to accept their new overlords and preferred to continue their medieval style of society, viewing the newcomers as a threat similar to what they'd been fighting in the jungles for as long as they could remember. This led to centuries of conflicts between the two.

After The Severance, the First Wavers well-established farmlands became popular to pillage or annex, a tradition that's continued ever since. Today, Ikaanos places a premium on crafts and other cultural artifacts from the the First Wavers kingdom, and tribal women are in high demand as sex slaves due to their petite stature and strengthened resilience.

Important states, tribes and kingdoms from this era
* Kingdom of David (2131- )
* The Connor Tribe (2132- )
* Kingdom of Arwen (2131-2190)
* New Kansas City (2135-2180)
* The Cybertooth Tribe (2150-2232)

Colonization (2230-2290)
The Severance and the great chaos (2290-2315)
Sixty years after the second colony ship arrived at the Celassi star system and entered orbit around Raana, the Celassi quantum gate mysteriously shut down, making the return trip to Alpha Centauri and Earth impossible.

This occurred on June 12th, 2290, and signaled the beginning of a dark era referred to as The Great Chaos, during which scarcity and widespread violence permeated every aspect of society. Poor families sold themselves into slavery in order to avoid starving as the enormous colony devolved into a condition of existence that was practically post-apocalyptic. Expensive high-tech items, such as fusion-powered cars, computers, and food printers, were so scarce that only the elite of The Sphere could afford to purchase and maintain them. The Great Chaos came to an end after a generation, but it changed the once-thriving colony into a feudal kingdom that is still struggling against poverty, enslavement, and the constant threat of war to this day.
<br><br>
The Historical Society continues to debate why the severance happened. It remains the biggest enigma of all. A disturbing transmission captured just prior to the malfunction suggests that something assaulted the quantum gate at Alpha Centauri. The fundamental question is an assault by who? Or by what?
<br><br>
No other sentient alien civilizations are known to humanity – other than the unknown architects of the quantum gates that link dozens of star systems together – and there were no simmering conflicts going on between the central star systems when the severance occurred.

The Dark Age (2315-2440)
Stabilization (2440+)
* The Empress Wars (2463-2465)
* The Border Wars (2483-2488)

Founded by the adventurous second wave of settlers that landed on Raana's surface in 2230, over two and a half centuries ago, the Ikaanian metro area of today boasts almost 600,000 inhabitants and has a history that's rich in both tragedies and achievements.
The city lies on the Irendorian sea coast, nestled in a beautiful coral-crested bay that's blessed with an abundance of fish.

Background
Piper grew up in a loving and safe household. Her father, Laggard Holdman, was a technologist specializing in retrofitting and reverse-engineering quantum computers, and he kept Piper by his side throughout his work, providing the young girl all the safety she could desire. Piper never developed an interest in scientific experiments. Instead, as a teen she ventured out into the world hoping to explore its possibilities.

Having been sheltered from much hardship, and the sinister side of others, the naive, gullible teen only survived six months of freedom. She soon found herself in servitude to Mr. Fallon, a researcher within the Explorers guild. Mr. Fallon was a considerate master, and provided Piper a safe and well cared for environment where Piper’s natural kindness and submissiveness served her well.

Mr. Fallon introduced Piper to bondage, and though she never developed a joy for it, the devoted Piper showed she enjoyed many of the other pleasures of servitude and would do anything she could to please her master. Her devotion to pleasing Mr. Fallon was further cultivated with countless sessions under his wooden desk, where Piper expressed her dedication to him with great care and skill.

After almost a decade in Mr. Fallon’s household, Mr. Fallon's research led him on an expedition and he never returned. Piper left without a master, was sent to the Crystal Haven slave auction and sold to the Cyker Syndicate.

Piper spent the next months failing to adjust to the harsher world of a slave in Ikanoos. The Cyker Syndicate decided to cut their loss after taking full advantage of her looks and dedication to pleasing. Her good looks and servile mannerism made her an intriguing prospect to serve Miss Devious who took on Piper but now looks to cash in on the slave.

Piper still desires to be in a safe environment, hoping she can please her master, and maybe fulfill some of her earlier dreams to discover more about the world.

Did-I: /* Fighting in the Arena */

The Arena in Crystal Hills comes from traditions a century old. The nobility of Ikaanos in particular enjoys spectating the blood sports that take place here.

The Arena is open to both slave and citizen alike. Slave fights are rarely to the death, as training a slave to fight is a significant investment that no master wants to lose. As such, medical personnel are kept on hand to treat any major or life-threatening wounds.

Despite this, it is not unheard of for a slave to die. In such cases, recordings of the fight are examined and a ruling is made as to the legality of the death. If the death appears to be a genuine accident resulting from a misjudged attack or other error, no further action is taken. There are legal protections in place to prevent the Arena or the opposing slave's master from being held responsible for an accidental death, as it is viewed as part of the risk a slavemaster voluntarily accepts when entering their slave in a fight.

If it appears that the deceased's opponent killed them deliberately, the dead slave's master may demand reparations from the master of the opposing slave. Such cases are usually settled via private agreements. If no agreement can be made, the masters may agree to bring the case before a private arbitrator. The arbitrator will take several days to review the evidence, during which time both sides will privately try to exert political and financial pressure to sway things in their favor. The case is usually won by whichever side has better political connections or can offer the bigger bribe.

Regardless of the outcome of any private dispute, the Arena's owners take a very dim view of any master whose slave deliberately kills an opponent. They may excuse such an incident once, especially if the master is appropriately apologetic and the slave is severely disciplined. If it happens again, however, the master risks being banned from the Arena. No master wants to send their slave up against the slave of someone who has a history of letting their slaves kill, and the Arena's reputation would suffer if no action was taken against someone who showed such callous disregard for the property and investments of others.

Fights between free citizens are somewhat different. Private citizens typically participate in more brutal, lethal fights. These pay quite well, but the real draw is the potential to earn fame and influence as a top arena fighter. A particularly successful fighter may earn a sponsorship from a member of the nobility, which in turn provides even more fame and influence, as well as a substantial amount of cash and the political connections to retire to a comfortable, cushy job working for the nobility once the gladiator is either too old or too injured to continue fighting. Of course, a fighter has to survive in order to make it that far, and survival is not guaranteed.

Fighting in the Arena
The player can sign up to fight in the Arena. You can sign up yourself and fight alone, or take your party of slaves and mercenaries into the arena as a team. This comes with it's own share of risks and rewards. Fights in the arena are deadly. Mercenaries who perish are permanently lost just as they are in regular combat, and you and your slaves will suffer the same permanent effects for being defeated in combat. You can choose the tier of fights to participate in, and can also choose to fight a random opponent. You earn money for winning fights, and prestige in the form of climbing the internal ranks of the Arena. You gain a daily amount of influence based on your rank. Arena ranks are as follows:

# CHAMPION OF THE MASTERSPHERE - +20 influence/day
# Immortal - +14 influence/day
# Centurion - +6 influence/day
# Herald - +2 influence/day
# Veteran
# Warrior
# Brawler
# Initiate
# Unproven

The Crystal Hills Arena Gladiatrix School
You can send a slave to the Arena's Gladiatrix School. This frees up her household slot, allowing you to purchase another slave or move someone else into your home. It costs $95 per day to keep your slave enrolled here and in return the school will teach her combat skills and allow you to schedule her for fights in the Arena. Arena fights are not mandatory, but are an excellent way for your slave to earn you influence and income. A skilled slave can more than pay for the price of her combat education through fighting. These fights are not to the death, but your slave can be wounded in them. If your slave wins, you receive both monetary winnings and influence from owning such a skilled slave.

Interaction options with slaves in the CHAGS are limited. You can inquire as to how the slave is doing, request sex from her, and encourage her. You can also inspect her and arrange fights for her from the interaction menu. Note that if you ask a slave for sex and she refuses, you do not have your usual options for punishing such insolence, as the school is a public place and making a scene would only show that cannot control your slaves.

Fights arranged for your slave play out different than fights involving the player. You choose the weapon your slave is equipped with from your available inventory, then choose her opponent. After that, you watch the fight unfold. There is an event roll that determines if your slave gets any bonuses or penalties for the match, then another event roll to determine the outcome of the fight. If you interact with your slave after a fight, the options provide some different scenes. Encouraging her will comfort her if she lost or praise her if she won. Asking for sex can be framed as a celebration of her victory, or as a punishment for losing. The outcome of a fight can affect her chances of saying yes to sex as well. A slave who hates you but likes fighting might punish herself for a loss by agreeing to sex despite not really wanting to.

Nicole grew up helping out in her family's leather tanning business and although they struggled like most of Ikaano's underclass, it seems Nicole also developed a growing sense of independence. At 14 year's old, she enrolled in The Academy, proving herself to be a bright student and eventually earned a lecturer's assignment.
After the illicit affair between the two ended, Geoffrey Ablon set out to destroy whatever was left of Nicole's reputation and life. When the debt payments became too much for her, and the powerful Geoffrey Ablon lurking, she was forced to consider that servitude may be her only option going forward.

The dream remains in Nicole to pursue her journalistic passion, challenging the powers that be and to be in charge of her pursuits. It was there that she was charmed into a turbulent and abusive affair with the married head director, Geoffrey Ablon.

After the illicit affair between the two ended, Geoffrey Ablon set out to destroy whatever was left of Nicole's reputation and life. Nicole's determination remained unbroken and she set out to restart her life, even unwisely borrowing a large amount of raanic dollars from freebooters to re-enter The Academy. When the debt payments became too much for her, and the powerful Geoffrey Ablon lurking, she was forced to consider that servitude may be her only option going forward.

The dream remains in Nicole to pursue her journalistic passion, challenging the powers that be and to be in charge of her pursuits. Time will tell the fate of this House of Boulay descendant.

Nicole's apartment
Nicole lives in one of the Donwac apartments located in the Crow's End district. This was once a cherished uptown block for wealthy academy students. Now, it's just a crumbling heap of dilapidated apartments where many denaar addicts call home.
Background
Not much is known about Averil's parents, though rumors are her mother was a dinaar addict that could no longer care for the child. Even so, for a while, fortune smiled on young Averil as she was taken in and raised by a loving elderly couple on a farmstead just outside Ikaanos. Her caretakers noticed there was more to the young girl than meets the eye. Averil began showing signs of genius and noticing the child's brilliant mind, the caretakers enrolled her at the academy to study science and mathematics. The professors also noticed Averil's genius as she challenged even the brightest professors with her speedy ways of solving theoretical problems.

However, her new found fame as a prodigy saw her fortunes quickly take a turn for the worse. In the "Nadarian-Ekker controversies" in 2484, the young-girl was manipulated and used as a pawn between the rivaling professors. In the end, she was on the losing side of the controversies and banished from the academy along with her guardian. The loving caretakers who raised Averil also died in this period, leaving Averil to fend for herself.

It was at this point the 14 year old girl ended up in a prison camp on the outside ranches of Ikaanos as a "chainer." For four years she endured and was toughened by the desires of sadistic guards who had their way with her and others. She saw and experienced some of the worst parts - horrors - that befalls young slaves in Ikaanos. It made her stronger, and her skirmishes developed her into a worthy fighter.

Eventually, she was sold to the Kymanto syndicate awaiting her new fate. On the outside she is young and innocent, yet under the innocent face of the young girl lies a brilliant mind corrupted with deep-seated hatred and vengeance burning within her against the slaver chieftain.
