Bookshelves, ready stocked with a variety of books, are purchasable from the [[Carpenter|Carpenter Lombar Kai's shop]] in [[Locations (Ikaanos)#South Redhaven|South Redhaven]], for $3,200 each.

They can be placed in various rooms in the player's [[Player Home (Redhaven)|Home]]. In most of these rooms (but not all), they bring with them a chance that the residents of the room (if in a Private Bedroom or the Dormitory) or the entire Household (if in the Library or Office) may passively gain INTELLIGNECE, Academics, Science, Administration or [[Occultism]] (WIP) by reading books in their own time - chance and subject depending on the number of bookshelves, and where they are placed.
