To operate in Ikaanos whilst hiding in the shadows, they arm young gangs with advanced implants to scavenge and steal alien artifacts, House Teresto innovations, and Republic tech. Their elusive nature and covert operations fuel speculation about their true intentions. Rooted in Gnostic mysticism, Neognosticism seeks transcendent knowledge to resist Taint degradation, a rumored corruption of humanity, through advanced technology. Whispers suggest they aim to forge an enlightened race, though their goals remain obscure. Rituals blend esoteric chants, surgical implantation ceremonies, and integration of stolen technology into their bodies. Members, enhanced with implants boosting strength, perception, or stealth, train in sabotage and guerrilla tactics within the Catacombs. By equipping Ikanos gangs with implants, they orchestrate heists to gather resources. The government denies their existence, leaving the cult’s power and agenda shrouded in the shadows of Ikaanos.
