A wrist computer (Handheld Computer 1)

Portable computers on Raana are available in the form of wrist computers and laptops.

They are necessary for hacking the codes of electronically locked doors ("field hacking"), if you cannot find the required code by any other means.

Not manufactured on Raana, these are some of the thousand or less precious devices still running after being delivered from Earth before the Severance 200 years ago. Maintained by the cunning technologists House Teresto, using methods they keep secret, with parts extracted from circuit boards found in "merchandise" scavenged from the crumbling technology around Ikaanos.

Model I

"An old handheld DuraForged III expedition unit, reassembled with a 64KB memory, 128MB storage and a quad core processor taken from a broken guidance system."

A wrist computer (Handheld Computer 2)

Model II

"An old handheld DuraForged III expedition unit, reassembled with a 256KB memory, 256MB storage and an octa core processor taken from a Mastersphere Home Unit."

You start the game with a "Model II" wrist computer if you choose the Techie trait at character creation.

A laptop computer (Handheld Computer 3)

Model III

"A 23rd-century laptop, cased in DuraSteel, sporting 8TB RAM, a dedicated CPU (Altrox 4900xt) and a 512-core Untel i64 (10.2GHz)."

• Effects: Provides a +30 Field Hacker bonus.
• Available from: The Med Bay on the Mastersphere.
• Cost: $100,000 and 5,000 Influence
