The Private Bedroom

Overview

The Private Bedroom is a buildable room in the Player's House. The player can assign any NPCs that they want to sleep in this room. Note: By having more than 4 NPCs in this room, the crammed effect is activated, disabling daily happiness gain!

Upgrades

The player can perform the following upgrades on the Private Bedroom:

  • Level I ($500): A simple but cozy private room with newly painted walls and a warm carpet. Includes two single beds. Has space for four people to live comfortably, or up to eight living in crammed conditions.
  • Level II ($500): A cozy room with new floorboards, expensive tapestry, and enough storage area to satisfy even your most materialistic friends. Increases Happiness of occupants by +1 daily, and provides +1 Affection boost (up to Friendly) for NPCs if their Anger is below 2 and the number of occupants are less than five.
  • Level III ($2,500): A decorated room that breathes luxury. Any occupant assigned to this chamber will live a life of affluence that few Ikaanians can match. Additional +1 Happiness per day, plus Convicts, Slaves or Servants placed in this room will gain +1 Affection daily if their Anger is <2 and the room isn't crammed.

Relationship

If enabled, the following will occur:

Furniture

When built, each Private Bedroom starts with 2 single beds. The player can add the following furniture (purchasable from the Carpenter):

  • Double Bed (One only, regardless of number of Single Beds).
  • Single Bed (Six maximum, regardless of whether Double Bed present).
  • Book Shelf (Two). Each gives +1% daily chance for occupants to gain +1 to either INT, Academics, Science or Administration (cap: 100).
  • Arm Chair (Three). No benefit.
  • Sofa or Luxury Sofa (One). Luxury sofas give an additional +1 Happiness daily to the room's occupants.

Rename

The player can rename each room into anything they prefer.
