There are three types of difficulties in Masters of Raana.

Sandbox[edit | edit source]

A casual playthrough for those who want to experiment or just take it easy.

  • Adds a retainer (+$50/day).
  • Easier skill rolls (+15 to all chance rolls).
  • No need to shower MC.
  • Enemies do less damage in combat.

Normal[edit | edit source]

No modifications. Standard MoR difficulty.

Grimdark[edit | edit source]

A realistic playthrough that are close to how Ikaanos really feels like.

  • Double taxes. You need to plan your economy better.
  • Less starting money.
  • No scumsaving (only a daily auto save is enabled).
  • No numerical values for slaves.
