Fetid blindness

A villager living in a remote settlement deep in the jungles of Raana who is afflicted by Fetid Blindness.

An uncommon corneal disorder where the central cornea undergoes a quick and progressive thickening that eventually leads to blindness. There is no know cure other than surgery.

Etiology

Mostly unknown. Several reports from the Hunt Research laboratory and by the former medical facility at Whitehaven Academy associate Fetid blindness with forest dwellers, especially those living along the southern parts of Red River. A study conducted in 2429 found that 13% of a swamp tribe in Preacher's Pond had developed the disease, when the occurrence in the Ikaanos metro area was less than 0.5%.
