This page lists all debuffs, bonuses and other differences based on an NPC's status value.

Convicts[edit | edit source]

Convicts are slaves that've done such ghastly deeds that their masters have the full right to either execute or severely punish them whenever he feels the need to do so.

Work assignments[edit | edit source]

  • -10 Discipline when assigned to workshops, if Affection is Friendly or lower.

Combat[edit | edit source]

  • -10 Chance to hit in combat if Affection is Friendly or lower and their Health is above 15.

Interactions[edit | edit source]

  • Low Affection and Happiness penalties if exposed to humiliating deeds.
  • Cannot leave your household at their own free will.
  • Can be locked inside rooms without Influence penalties.

Slaves[edit | edit source]

Slaves are men and women who've entered slavery either because of starvation, a petty crime, their own free will or through birth.

Work assignments[edit | edit source]

  • -5 Discipline when assigned to workshops, if Affection is Friendly or lower.

Interactions[edit | edit source]

  • Low high Affection and Happiness penalties if exposed to humiliating deeds.
  • Cannot leave your household at their own free will.
  • Can be locked inside rooms without Influence penalties.
  • The MC receives a bonus (+20) to all sexual persuasion rolls (if slave is not Vanilla or Feminist).

Servants[edit | edit source]

Also known as serfs or Issids, servants are a very common form of labor force in Ikaanos, sharing roughly half the pool of Ikaanos "grey masses" with bound slaves. They are often found in taverns or close to large hubs of people such as markets or tent-towns. Servants are cheap to hire and require a relatively small salary.

Interactions[edit | edit source]

  • Moderately high Affection and Happiness penalties if exposed to humiliating deeds.
  • Can leave your household at their own free will.

Blocked actions[edit | edit source]

  • Brute Force.

Mercenaries[edit | edit source]

Mercenaries are trained sell-swords or hunters who can be hired for a larger sum of money. They are equipped with expensive weapons and skills that'll make a difference in your future combat squad. They often come from a proud, freeborn background and will not accept being treated like simple servants.

Interactions[edit | edit source]

  • Very high Affection penalties if exposed to humiliating deeds.
  • Can leave your household at their own free will.

Blocked actions[edit | edit source]

  • Brute Force.
  • Cannot proclaim punishments in the training room.

Paragons[edit | edit source]

Paragons are either heroes of Ikaanos or elite soldiers, merchants or businessmen. They are proud individuals with extreme skill levels and many connections. They do not take shit from anyone.

Most Paragons maintain their status even after marrying them.

Interactions[edit | edit source]

  • Doesn't accept Prostitution, Floor Crawler assignments or Main Attraction assignments unless their Corruption reaches 80+ or Willpower is 0 or less.
  • Extremely high Affection penalties if exposed to humiliating deeds.
  • Can leave your household at their own free will.
  • Proposal penalty (-50).

Blocked actions[edit | edit source]

  • Strip! (requires Affection Loving+ or Corruption 80+).
  • Brute Force.
  • Cannot use Mindmancer.
  • Cannot use Haze Pill or NeuraClean unless Willpower is 19 or less.
  • Will only use plugs if Affection is Loving+, Corruption 80+ or Willpower below 1.
  • Cannot proclaim punishments in the training room.
