Starting a New Game

Introduction

Greetings, and welcome to Masters of Raana! This page will serve to ease new players through the process of creating their new game character!

To start, please keep in mind that this game is currently in early development and will have errors, glitches, systems that are still being fleshed out, incomplete features, and is, in general, a work in progress. Masters of Raana is being created by a lone indie developer named GrimDark, who is responsible for all of the game's creative writing, coding, and rendering at the time of this writing. The lore behind the Masters of Raana is extensive and originates entirely from GrimDark's imagination. In my opinion, this is quite an accomplishment.

As such, I invite you to join the Discord Server and report any bugs or problems you encounter while playing, to exchange information about any difficulties you encounter, and to contribute your ideas for the game's growth.

Character Creation

Masters of Raana features a unique character creation process that is unlike any other game. Rather than assigning an arbitrary number of stat/skill points to various attributes/skills, you are presented with a story-like process in which you construct your character based on his or her background, experiences, and personality. This approach allows you to customize your character according to your personal preferences while avoiding the impersonal practice of choosing where to divide your points on a spreadsheet.

Please keep in mind that regardless of where your attributes and skills wind up, you may always modify them to your satisfaction through training, studying, and just playing the game the way you want to.

Important Note: Throughout the character creation process, you can reset and/or reselect your choices. Additionally, at the conclusion of the character creation process, you have the option of starting over (Final Review). This enables the player to experiment with a range of diverse configurations and scenarios. We encourage you to take full advantage of this flexibility and experiment to your heart's content with your character build!

Selecting your Personal History

Selecting your character's personal history is a two-stage process. Your choices in each stage will result in different attributes and/or skills receiving boosts and/or penalties. These changes are cumulative.

EXAMPLE: If you receive a bonus of +5 intelligence and a penalty of -1 dexterity in the first stage and a bonus of +5 intelligence and a penalty of -1 strength in the second stage, you will receive a cumulative result of +10 intellect, -1 dexterity, and -1 strength in the end.

The first stage entails selecting an upbringing. At this point of the process, you get to choose your path and your upbringing. Each background confers benefits or drawbacks to you in terms of various attributes and skills. Take your time and go over them all. You may always redo them before making a final decision.

The second stage gives you the opportunity to determine how you responded to your upbringing. Did you go down the same path as your parents? Or did you reject them and go out on your own? Again, each option has a number of pros and cons in terms of various attributes and skills. Again, consider all of your options before committing and moving on to the next section.

Selecting your Unique Event

This area allows you to pick a unique event that took place in your life. This event will provide you with certain benefits, but also with a substantial penalty. Additionally, it will effect various quests, events, and how NPCs view you throughout the game.

Additionally, certain unique events will include a special quest that is not generally available through regular routes. Bear in mind that certain unique quests are currently in development and may not be accessible at this time.

Consider all of your possibilities before making a choice. You can return and select another unique event if you are dissatisfied with the one you first selected.

Selecting Special Ablities

This section allows you to select three distinctive special abilities that provide bonuses or penalties related to specific attributes and skills. If you're wondering how they will affect your character, a large question mark symbol is located on the left side of the screen. By clicking on that icon, a pop-up window will appear with a synopsis of the game's system, all of the game's attributes and skills, and their influence on gameplay. Please take the time to study this information thoroughly as it is essential for knowing how the special talents will effect your character and overall gameplay.

If you make a mistake or have a change of heart, simply click the reset button at the bottom of your screen. This will clear your selections and allow you to choose another set.

Once you have made your selection, and arrow will appear on the right side of the screen. To proceed to the next part, click on this arrow.

Selecting Body Type/Physical Features

This part will allow you to choose from three distinct choices. Penis Size, Body Type, and Cum Load.  Each of these options will have an influence on your gameplay, therefore we encourage you to click on the corresponding large question mark to the left of each section. Each choice will be explained. I'll describe each summary on this page, however bear in mind that this wiki is not constantly updated, and therefore the most current information will be displayed in-game.

Body Type

Your character's body type will primarily affect his or her strength and dexterity, enhancing a certain combat style if you choose to limit yourself to either melee or ranged weapons.

Body type also affects persuasion in subtle ways; some slaves are more attracted toward particular body types, and a "stocky" build gives you a slight advantage in intimidation and domination attempts.

Penis Size

The size of your male character's genitalia is more critical than you may believe. While having a bigger penis can create discomfort for virgins and petite partners, its massive size will also sap a slave's willpower and lead her to submit more quickly.

While playing the game, your choice will also give another level of flavor to many sexually explicit messages.

Cum Load

On Raana, a select few males have developed an abnormal quantity of sperm. Ikaanos' declining medical profession suggests that this might be due to passive radiation from the planet's core. However, despite the enlarged prostate, they have identified no evidence of malignancy other than the discomfort the male's sexual partner may experience.

Choosing anything other than "Normal" will have a detrimental effect on all aspects of oral relations, particularly ejaculation. However, if your partner or slave enjoys oral sex, a massive ejaculation may make the girl more submissive and satisfied. Additionally, if she consumes your load, it will reduce her appetite by a small amount.

Selecting Sexual Focuses

This section allows you to select two distinctive sexual focuses that provide bonuses or penalties related to specific attributes and skills. If you're wondering how they will affect your character, a large question mark symbol is located on the left side of the screen. Selecting Age Range

This section allows you to select from three distinct age groups. Each age group has related benefits and drawbacks, as well as one possible side effect of seduction and persuasion interaction.

To continue, select one and then click the arrow on the right side of the screen.

Selecting your Name

Nothing complicated here. Enter the first and last names you wish to be addressed by. Be aware that depending on the social context, NPCs will address you by your first or last name. You can also change the way each individual slave addresses you separately in the game in their interaction section.

Final Review

Finally, an evaluation of your character sheet will be offered to you. Please take a close look at the final outcomes of your selections. If you made a mistake, change your mind, or simply wish to experiment with alternative options, click the "Start Over" button at the bottom of the screen.

If everything appears to be in order, click the "Accept" button to enter Raana's realm!

Tutorial

After approving the final assessment of your character sheet, you will be provided with a brief overview of your present status and some suggested goals. At the bottom of the screen, you'll have the option of starting the tutorial or immediately entering the game.

If this is your first time playing the game or if you haven't played in a while, it is strongly advised that you begin with the tutorial. The tutorial begins by highlighting essential features and UI aspects that you'll need to know in start to play the game without encountering any troubles. Even if you've played the game previously but not recently, you may be unaware of significant modifications made to the game recently. You still need to complete the tutorial.
