The Council

Historical Ruling body of Ikaanos colony. it's gone through a few incarnations, and is now renamed The Senate to clarify that the colony is formally a Republic. It's never been very democratic; more of an oligarchy - in the hands of the rich & powerful, particularly the heads of Ikaanos' Great Families. And with disproportionate power wielded by the Chancellor, and those who control the Mastersphere with its space marines and ion cannons.
