The Shrine is a building located within the player's yard. The player can do the following things at this location:

Upgrading The Hall[edit | edit source]

By upgrading the hall, the player can include more people in his lecture.

  • Level I (Starting): A simple stone shrine with enough space to hold up to five people at the same time. It's cozy, even if the draftiness makes it hard for a worshipper to maintain her full spiritual focus.
  • Level II ($1200): A simple stone shrine with floorboards, an improved altar and renovated windows.
  • Level III ($15,000): A small congregational hall that allows your entire household to participate in lectures and religious sermons.

Adding Religious Symbol[edit | edit source]

The player can add more religious symbols to The Shrine to increase devotions chance. With the name of the religious symbols changing according to the player's religion.
If the player's religion is Atheist:

  • An ancient celestial symbol. (Starting)
  • Medieval tapestry. ($300)
  • A pre-Severance Earth Globe. ($600)
  • Rannica Major - a nicely decorated Raanic Globe. ($3500)

If the player's religion is The Two Moons:

  • The Sacred Dual Orb. (Starting)
  • The Sacred Dual Orb (gold plated). ($300)
  • A Dark Chalice. ($600)
  • The Ending Vase. ($3500)

If the player's religion is Aesir:

  • Statue of Odin. (Starting)
  • Statue of Odin (large). ($300)
  • Statue of Frey and Thor. ($600)
  • Large statue of Jörmungandr. ($3500)

If the player's religion is Christianity:

  • Crucifix. (Starting)
  • Crucifix (gold). ($300)
  • Statue of Saint Mary. ($600)
  • Relic box. ($3500)

If the player's religion is Cult of the Elder:

  • The all-seeing Eye. (Starting)
  • The all-seeing Eye (gold-plated). ($300)
  • The Sacred Void Vessel. ($600)
  • Statue of The Seeker. ($3500)

If the player's religion is Islam:

  • Rugs. (Starting)
  • Rugs (comfortable). ($300)
  • Sacred decorations. ($600)
  • Decorated windows. ($3500)

Praying and Lecturing[edit | edit source]

The player can pray (or meditate if he is Atheist), which will increase his devotion to the religion that he is following.

The player can also lecture his household members here (3 times per day), with the options being:

  • Anti Decadence (Decreases Corruption)
  • Pro Decadence (Increases Corruption)
  • Anti Willpower (Decreases Willpower)
  • Pro Willpower (Increases Willpower)
  • Devotion (Increase Devotion of household members that follow the same religion as the player)

The player can improve the Devotion lecture by doing the following things:

  • Use Fury! (-10 Stamina points)
  • Religious Zeal (-10 Devotion points)
  • Enhance (-$250)

Other Actions[edit | edit source]

Aside from the listed actions above, the player can also lock The Shrine, rename it or even demolish it if he does not need it anymore.
