Wood
A Material used for Crafting, manufacture of Gunpowder (if you own a sawmill with a burner), and also burned to heat your home (Manage > Manage House > Add 10W) - which will increase the Contentment value of your home, improving the Happiness of its residents.
Wood can be bought from many vendors (listed below), and there is also a door-to-door salesman who visits frequently selling batches of 100 units. It can also be found when scavenging outside the city, and can be harvested in far greater quantities from Darkmere woods if you purchase the lumber mill there.

- Sale Value: base $1 per unit, affected by Prosperity (+1 if 75+), Control (+1 if <5), market supply (+2 if < 500,000, +1 further if <50,000, or -1 if 2 million+), and standing stock left around Darkmere mill (+1 if <100,000, and +1 further if <100).

- Uses: Household Heating (4/day); Manufacture of Gunpowder (1); Crafting: knives (1), canes (1), swords (1), spears (3), staves (1), crossbow (2), rifle (2), shotgun (2).
- Supply: The game starts with Ikaanos having a stock of 10,950,094 units of wood circulating - though only 1,095,094 if playing on A Dying World setting. This will vary daily, on average rising 10 units, with another on average +50 added if supply drops below 1,200. There is then extra demand (-50 units) if Control <10, another -50 if Prosperity <20, or +50 if Prosperity 75+. Then if supply is <500,000 an additional daily supply of +150 unless playing Grimdark mode.
