Overview

The only true bastion of knowledge that remains on Raana today. The White Historical Society building has served as a place of congregation for the learned elite since before The Severance, and all academists and scientists that have any status are members here.

This building also serves as the headquarters for the Whitehaven Academy next door, and together they form one of Ikaanos' factions:

  • Gentlemen (Soldiers): 145
  • Power Value: 1,500
  • Treasury: $14,778,540
  • Focus: Culture
  • Leader: The Grandmaster

Membership

Any prominent gentleman can "join" The Historical Society; it's free to use its chambers and hallways for political, historical, and scientific discussions during opening hours, as long as you register yourself, sign in and out, and book in advance any facilities you want dedicated use of.

Having enough, suitable status, plus a donation of $5,000 to The Gatekeeper, enables one to be accepted as as a Scholar Knight by the Historical Society. This provides permanent access to the great library and the cigar room, with the knowledge and the contacts that they bring. Sufficient status can be demonstrated by meeting one of these four prerequisites:

  • Influence: 3,000+
  • Academy assignment: YES
  • Academic skill: 80+
  • Science skill: 80+

Donations

Members (Scholar Knights) can donate, to further increase their Standing with the Academy, with the options being:

  • $1,000
  • $10,000
  • $100,000
  • 1 Artifact (Rare)
  • 1 Art
  • 200 Merchandise
