Silfren Mine is an illegal operation in Silfren Woods near Kahill Outpost, run by fierce bandits guarding dozens of unhappy captive miners. If you can prize it from their hands you might be able to legalise and regularise the set-up, and run it yourself. The mine is extracting copper and iron deposits, but there may also be gemstones...

Fully exploiting this mineral vein might utilize up to 75 workers (miners & associated trades), especially if the site was developed to include a Smelting operation to provide refined metal rather than just ore. However a substantial number of armed Guards would be needed in addition, both to protect against the bandits & dangerous fauna in the area, and to prevent workers fleeing their poorly paid and dangerous jobs in unpleasant conditions. A skilled Mine Foreman would also improve the efficiency of the operation there.

You manage the Mine and collect its produce by visiting it, but assign staff there from your Household screen.
