The Player's Office

Overview

The Office is a room located on the Ground Floor of the Player's House. It is where the player can homeschool his NPCs.

Upgrades

The player can perform the following upgrades on the Office:

  • Level I (Starting): A worn but rather cozy office, decked with floorboards dating back to the Dark Ages.
  • Level II ($1,500): A decorated office worthy of a true gentleman. The blend between modern and pre-severance/Dark Age retro materials creates a fresh mix of sumptuousness and history.
  • Level III ($3,500): Description remains unchanged, same as Level II.

Furniture

The player can add the following to the Office (furniture purchasable from the Carpenter):

  • Work Desk (One; comes with house): No benefit.
  • Book shelf (Four) Boost the nightly chance for each non-bound household member to gain +1 to either Academics, Administration or Science, by 0.1% with 2 Book shelves, or 0.2% with 4 book shelves (cap: 100).
  • Armchair (Three): No benefit.
  • Sofa or Luxury Sofa (One): Luxury sofa gives +1 Happiness per day to occupants, but nobody lives in this room so the benefit would be wasted.
  • Rare Artifact (Ten) Boost the chance for a household member to score +1 bonus to either Academics, Administration, up to 0.5%
