Background

Rachel's background is an enigma: She carries herself with a rare air of sophistication and refinement, which is uncommon enough even among city dwellers, and yet she was taken as a slave by the Kymanto syndicate in the foothills of the Beryll Mountains. She had been living as the lover of a cult leader who established a small compound deep in the jungle. After a series of inconclusive skirmishes, Kymanto brought its full force to bear on the camp, killing the leader and taking many of his followers captive.
