Overview
Assigning an NPC as Scavenger will accumulate you a daily batch of Merchandise, as they go off each day to scavenge useful or saleable items. (There are some risks.)
Scavenger
- Daily Income: Special
- Hours: 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
- Age: Any
- Risks: High!
Merchandise scavenged
The amount of Merchandise brought back each day per scavenger ranges from 0 to 13 depending on numerous factors, including up to 4 separate dice rolls:

Other Scavenger Trait Bonuses
Bonus Items
- If the Scavenger has the Scavenger trait, they have a 1 in 5 chance of finding a bonus item: 1 Tendstim or 1 Energy Cell or 1 Durasteel.
- If the Scavenger has the Techie trait (trait value 51+) AND also has Survival skill 60+, they have a 4 in 15 chance to bring back either a Tendstim or an Energy Cell each day.
- If the Scavenger has the Nerd trait (trait value 51+) AND also has Survival skill 60+, they have a 4 in 15 chance to bring back an Artifact each day: 50% Common, 5% Uncommon, or 25% Rare - but this latter only possible if they ALSO have 80+ Academic skill.
Happiness
If the Scavenger has the Scavenger trait, they gain +1 Happiness.
Special NPCs
Assigning both Loden and Laika as scavengers so that the siblings can work together will boost Merchandise income by up to +6. The duo might also bring home extra tendstims.
