Background
Ellen Shaw is down-on-her luck former Skyguard police officer that you meet as she is being evicted from her apartment on account of being way behind on her rent payments. She is the sole daughter of SGPD detective Elijah Shaw, whose footsteps she followed in, joining the Skyguard militia at 15. Her and her father's ironclad sense of justice led to her current misfortune.
Ellen initiates the quest The Detective.

Special Abilities
SGPD Officer: At the start of the game Ellen is investigating her parents' deaths, and is also struggling with the fact that she lost her dream job with the Skyguard police as a result of the circumstances around that event. If the MC chooses to assist her by finishing her quest ("The Detective"), he will restore Ellen's family's name with the SGPD such that they will employ her again. At this point the trait "SGPD Officer" will appear on Ellen's Traits list, and this trait also means that the job "SGPD Officer" will appear on her list of available jobs (under "City Assignments"). The Job provides benefits each day she is assigned to it, but makes her unavailable 8-4pm. The Trait tracks the strength of Ellen's standing with the SGPD: each day she is assigned elsewhere by the MC she loses 1% of the trait's value; if it reaches zero it vanishes and she loses her position at the SGPD for the second time, which will devastate her. However, if the MC has Influence 15,000+, the trait has a 1 in 3 chance to regenerate a point each day, so she could then be away 1 day in 3 without losing her place at the police force.
Police Academy: Ellen's training makes her an excellent fitness instructor, giving her a +5 bonus to chances to train Strength, Stamina and Discipline in NPCs assigned to her if she is given a job as an Educator ("Physical" template required for the first two).
Starting Stats
Ellen starts physically fit, combat trained, well enough educated to teach at the Academy, and with the aptitude to be an excellent (and cheap) physical fitness and combat Educator for your own staff. However her heart lies with the SGPD, and she will be heartbroken if she can't get reinstated and spend most of her days working there.
