Burakumin Village

Overview

Burakumin Village, or Burakumin Ichi, is a farming community located in Raikan district of Ikaanos city. The player unlocks the ability to invest in this community after defeating the Black Scorpion gang who have been oppressing this area. The investments relate to the improvement of:

• The villagers' houses
• The West Field
• The North Field

These investments will improve the health and happiness of the Burakumin farmers, and increase the productivity of their fields, allowing them to grow enough to return some produce to their benefactor. Each day they will add to their food stores a surplus amount determined by how much the MC has invested in them.

Whenever he visits the village, the MC can choose to do one or more of the following:

• Withdraw Rations from Burakumin to add to his Household's stock (in units of 300).
• Donate some of the surplus back to Burakumin (units of 300), which will increase his Standing with the community.
• Donate Rations to Ikaanos city (units of 3,000), gaining Influence in return, and raising Ikaanos' Prosperity by 1 point.
• Send soldiers from the Fort Sera garrison (if the player runs it) to guard Burakumin from raider's attacks. These attacks execute as a political event inside the Conclude Day framework. Guards are transferred from the fort to the village one at a time. Having at least a dozen stationed at the village might be sensible, as less might not be able to fend off bandit raids.
