Book shelves ready stocked with a variety of books are purchasable from the Carpenter Lombar Kai's shop in South Redhaven for $3,200 each.

These can be placed in various rooms in the player's Home. In most of these rooms (but not all), they bring with them a chance that the residents of the room (if in a Private Bedroom or the Dormitory) or the entire Household (if in the Library or Office) may passively gain INTELLIGNECE, Academics, Science, Administration or Occultism (WIP) by reading books in their own time - chance and subject depending on the number of bookshelves, and where they are placed.
