Although she lacks a certificate from a recognized medical authority, after spending years treating patients at her parents' side Caitlin's skills are functionally equivalent to a licensed physician. She is dedicated to helping others through the practice of medicine – especially the poor and the vulnerable, and she regards other undertakings as a waste of her time and talent. Intelligent and strong-willed, Caitlin has a rare ability to compartmentalize her emotions, allowing her to hold herself apart from events, even when they affect her personally.
