Ranged
Some weapons have two damage numbers. The first number tells you the amount of damage that specific weapon does when fired from Distant combat, while the second number tells the amount of damage from Close combat (the Charge! command).
Some weapons may also have recoil. Recoil reduces your chance to hit by a certain amount unless your ranged skill meets a certain threshold based on the severity of the recoil. More information is available here.
