Slave markets

There are several slave markets scattered across Ikaanos. At a slave market, a player can aquire procedurally generated slaves with a vast number of combinations ranging from deplorable urchins with no skills, to highly educaded wives coming from affluent homes in Emerald City.

Crystal Heights

In the midst of Emerald City, in the shadow of the undying palace, lies an old opera building, errected centuries ago by The Great Ikaanians. Here, on floorboards once trodded by actors and skilled musicians, many young women and men are bought and sold each day.

• Cost factor: 1.0.

Watery Eyes slave market

On a simple gallows platform in the northern side of Watery Eyes' old market, at least a dozen deplorable slaves find their new owner each week. While you're probably not going to catch well-educated merchant girls at this location, a sweet-looking lassie from the farmlands outside might occasionally lighten up the grey masses of urchins and thieves generally sold at this location.

• Cost factor: 0.8.

Values and stats

Value level

A slave's Value Level gives a hint on how far the other bidders might take an ongoing auction. A level below 6 is considered of lesser value, while everything above 15 is highly coveted by most buyers - at least by those who can afford the slave in question.

There are several factors that can either raise or lower a slave's Value Level.

• Background: The background span generally applies a Value Level modification between -1 to +8.
• Age: Younger girls, especially 18 and 19-year olds, are considered of higher value (up to a +2 modification).
• Golden girl: Some girls just have it - they're gorgeous, bright, intelligent and charming. There's a 1% chance an auction offers a Golden girl, which will buff most skills and attributes, but also the Value Level (+12).
• Certain display pics: While the assigning of display pics is mostly random, some are considered to be of a lesser level, appearance-wise. This might modify Value Level with as much as -2 points.
