Grid Keys

Grid keys are antique, thumb-sized, "Universal Serial Bus" devices, that, when connected to "The Grid", can decrypt old data that could recover forgotten knowledge from the pre-severance days. Each in your possession gives a +4 on Hacking attempts, and their bonuses stack.

Lovisa can lead you to one that her father obtained during his computer repair work, in a quest ("The Vault") which triggers if you attain sufficient Affection with her after adding her to your household: "it can give you access to the encrypted data files that were lost when Harnassy's network crashed a long time ago".

Eliana has another, stolen from and kept as a memento of a disgusting old Spheremaster who died doing unspeakable things to her on the Mastersphere. She may gift this to you in thanks for freeing her from sale to a timber-lord, in the quest leading to her acquisition ("The Golden Seal").

Variable: owngridkey, which can have a value of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5
