Interrogation

This is an action accessible as an Interact option, only currently available for NPCs who have the Secretive trait.

Interrogation attempts can be either Persuade or Threaten.

Each attempt takes 18 minutes, and there is no limit to the number of attempts per day, except as constrained by Stamina.

Persuade attempts use the MC's Manipulate skill versus the NPC's Willpower, modified by the NPC's Kindness, and by the number of Followers the MC has assisting him, and boosted further if these followers are attractive and naked or dressed sexily and the target is male. Attempts cost the MC 2 Stamina points, and if successful will reduce the NPC's Secretive trait value by 12 points. Successes also have a chance of increasing Affection by +2 points, and will reduce Anger by 2 points if it is above 4.

• The chance of a persuasion session yielding 12% progress towards revealing the secret = your Manipulate, minus their Willpower (capped at 75), +10/20/30 if their Kindness is 40/50/60+, +5/15/25/40 for 1/2/3/4 Followers assisting, +10 if your Power Value is 10+ or +20 if it's 30+, +10 if your Influence is 10,000+, and if the target is male, +10 per female Follower who is either naked or wearing sexy (not standard) underwear or bondage harness.

Threaten attempts use the MC's Manipulate skill versus the NPC's Willpower, modified by the MC's Power Value, how threatening he looks, the number of Followers the MC has assisting him, and whether the NPC is stripped naked (only available if the NPC is female). Attempts cost the MC 4 Stamina points, and if successful will reduce the NPC's Secretive trait value by 20 points. Successes will also reduce the NPC's Willpower by 1 point (down to 20), reduce their Affection by 5 points, and increase their Fear.

• The chance of a threaten session yielding 20% towards revealing the secret = your Manipulate, minus their Willpower (capped at 75), -20, +10/20/35 if your Power Value is 100/500/1100+, +5/15/25/40 for 1/2/3/4 Followers helping, +10 if your Influence is 10,000+, +5/10/25 if your Beauty is <30/20/10, and +20 if the target is female and you have stripped them naked.

Success chance: note that this opposed roll, as with most in MoR, uses a base chance of zero, not 50/50. So that to have any chance of success your relevant score must be higher than the relevant score of the opponent (after modifiers). If your Manipulate score is 60, and the opponent's Willpower is 60, you had better find some modifiers or you will have zero chance of breaking them.

Once an interrogation is complete (having reduced an NPC's Secretive trait value to zero), a secret will be revealed, which will be added to the MC's Character Sheet quests Journal. This will also remove the person's Secretive trait permanently.

Each "Secretive" person will have a different secret. You can interrogate multiple people at a time, and make progress on uncovering their different secrets, but only one secret can be revealed at a time. And once a secret is revealed, no further interrogations may be attempted until the quest from that secret is resolved and cleared from your Quests journal.
