Overview[edit | edit source]

Influence is an in-game currency. It is a broad term, used to describe the player's power and connections throughout Ikaanos. Influence is an important part of the player's growing empire, as a high level of influence makes others respect him and allows access to items and weapons forbidden by Ikaanos' laws.

Gaining & Losing Influence[edit | edit source]

The player can gain influence in many different ways:

  • Having a luxurious house.
  • Enrolling your slaves/servants in external riding stables (up to +6 per day per girl).
  • Owning your own upgraded Stable with Horses and Carriage (up to +12 per day).
  • Having extravagant spending habits.
  • Paying to spend time with the very expensive girls at The Velvet Room (+10 to +20).
  • Having a squad of Maids (Each Maid adds +2 per day; double if they are Perfectionists).
  • Having a Head Maid who is a Workaholic (+4 per day).
  • Teaching at the Whitehaven Academy.
  • Assigning NPCs to the Academy to study (+2 per day per fee-paying student).
  • Assigning NPCs to The Academy to Lecture as Professors (+4/day; just working there as a teacher isn't enough).
  • Investing in legitimate businesses.
  • Assigning a female NPC to work as a performer at the Golden Dragon (+2 per day).
  • Having Paragons working for him.
  • Having Aria Bianchi as his slave (+2 per day).
  • Vassalizing factions.
  • Arranging luxurious Marriages.
  • Having a Herald traveling Ikaanos to promote the player and his household (+2/day minimum; +20/day or more achievable)
  • Producing Children that contribute positively to Ikaanos' development.
  • Living in a poor Ikaanos.
  • Completing Quests and tasks given by many people and factions across Ikaanos.
  • Hunt down Bounties of all types (+50 or more per Bounty, depending on difficulty).
  • Through random events.

Similarly, the player can also lose influence in a variety of ways:

  • Having a run-down house.
  • Having a squad of maids that poorly perform their chores.
  • Being a member of the Aesir religion.
  • Associating himself with the Bandits and criminals of Ikaanos.
  • Investing in illegitimate business.
  • Having a number of Wives that exceed the limit of the Religion that the player is following.
  • Living in a prosperous Ikaanos.
  • Producing offspring that contribute negatively to Ikaanos' development.
  • Purchasing items and weapons that are off-limits to civilians.
  • Through random events.
